New Oregon Stater

Two of the best things about working for your self as a commercial and editorial photographer is you never know for sure when a check is going to show up in the mail box, and you never know when and where the photos you take will be used. The newest issue of The Oregon Stater came in the mail on Saturday, and I had a few photos in it. You can read the whole issue here.

People I work with an occasional series

When I am shooting things for commercial and editorial clients I often have the designers, art directors or whoever stand in for a light test. No one I work with enjoys this as much as Santiago Uceda a very talented designer for OSU marketing. Here is a photo from las week. You can see some of Santiago's work at his website.

Engagment Session

Last summer I had a great time at Keri and AJ's wedding, and next summer I am shooting Keri's sister Amanda's wedding. I did an engagement session with Amanda and Justin late last month when we still had a few leaves on the trees. I am looking forward to their wedding next August when hopefully it will be a little warmer.

Spanish Magazine

I have photographed Francisco Martin the founder of Strands for some magazines before, and I was back there last week shooting some more. Strands is one of the many great companies in Corvallis that most people in town don't know of but do really cool things.

My Portland Photographer

A few weeks ago I joined a group of photographers that share a blog of wedding photographs. Each of us ads one new image a week to the blog to keep it very fresh. It is a great group of photographers with many different styles. You can see the blog here, I update every Tuesday, so if you want to see my photos check back every Tuesday.

I was there

The Oregonian has a story about Oregon State beating Cal 10 years ago and ending 28 years without a winning season. People wrote in about what they remember from the game. I don't remember much, but I was there, they used the photo I took for the story.

Terra Mag Fall 2009

The newest issue of Oregon State's research magazine Terra is out and I have some photos in this issue you can read the stories online, but to truly appreciate what a wonderful magazine it is you need to find a hardcopy. The stories, graphics, photos and wonderful layout by Santiago Uceda make it great reading.

Our next Governor?

I photographed Steve Shields and his family last month to use in his campaign for Oregon's Governor. He announced his candidacy last week. I have never voted for a Governor who has lost, and I think I will vote for Steve in the primary. You can read more about him on his site.

Photos at Good Samaritan

I photographed some of the imaging departments at Good Samaritan last week. There are no real patients in the photos so I can post them here on my Blog. The nurses, doctors and techs we worked with were great, and we got a lot of great photos because they were so helpful in setting up the scenes.

Way behind on posting

Here is the latest batch of High School Seniors. We have shot more in October this year than we did in August, which is unusual, but the color and the light has been really great the last few weeks so we have gotten some great photos.
